devil’s advocate
I am the other part of the equation
So also you must deal with me
But know that I am truly
beyond any of your petty moral reproach
For without me nothing can grow.
I am the grain of sand
that induces the pearl
I am the chasm
that defines the firmament
And though you forget me,
or ignore me, or loathe me
I never forget, ignore, or even loathe you.
