On The Train

I.

Characters in a play / Strangers on a train

Entrances & exits / my own entrance & exit

Names & faces/ tips of icebergs

Coming together

Moving together

A dance of personalities

For a short eternity

On a journey

To where we are

Always

And ever.

II.

Mournful, yearnings cry

Across the desert

Now happy

Now sad

Jabbed in the heart

With a golden spike

Seeking penetration

Into myself

With nowhere to go,

I’m on my way

Lord, no other way to go

And it’s a lonesome road

And a rocky road

An ordeal

To bring alive the senses

To move the mouth

To simply ask

For light.
